Sweet Tea
Smile

A busy small-town store off of Highway 9, and he’s there for one thing — a spoon lure for tomorrow’s fish line. The tackle aisle is dusty and quiet until the door swings open and everything changes. In walks a vision: curls bouncing wild, a cold sweet tea in her hand, heading for the checkout line.

The line moves slow and his heartbeat moves fast. “Hey darlin’,” he calls out, “let me get that for you.” One smile from her and he knows. “Sweet Tea Smile” is the sweetest chance meeting there ever was.
